It's with deep sadness to report that our beloved Kindermusik Teacher - MELISSA L. HUCK passed away Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at her residence. 

   Melissa L. Huck (NEE: HAAS) RACINE

Melissa L. Huck, age 48, passed away Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at her residence. Melissa was born in Rockford, IL, February 9, 1962, daughter of Jerome H. and Mary L. (Nee: Austin) Haas.

On May 19, 1984 at Trinity United Methodist Church she was united in marriage to Daniel K. Huck. Melissa was a lifelong and active member in the church choir and Trinity Emmaus Group at Trinity United Methodist Church. She was a Kindermusik teacher in Racine for several years. She loved singing, especially with her daughters, and sang for numerous weddings with June McGill. Melissa also enjoyed pyrography (the art of wood burning), the outdoors, and camping. More than anything she treasured time with her family. She will be deeply missed.

Survivors include her loving husband of twenty-five years, Dan; her daughters, Sara Erma Huck and Leigh AnnMary Huck; her father, Jerome Haas; mother-in-law, Madge (Jim) McCarthy; brothers and sisters, Steve Haas, Randy (Allison Ford) Haas, Sue Haas (Michael Sommers), Jeff Haas, Rick (Patti) Haas; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Larry (Ellen) Huck, Tim Huck, Kathy (Jim) Pease, Jean Bozich; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary; father-in-law, Richard Huck; and brother-in-law, Kevin Huck.

A Memorial Service celebrating Melissa’s life was held Monday, April 26, 2010, 11:00 A.M. at Trinity United Methodist Church, 3825 Erie Street, with Rev. Rosalind Dryver-Scott officiating. Relatives and friends met with the family Sunday at the funeral home from 11:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. and Monday at the church from 10:00 A.M. until time of service. Memorials to Trinity United Methodist Church of Racine, WI have been suggested.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Dr. Michael Mullane and his staff for their loving and compassionate care.
